Overstyle faux pas

Sometimes in over-style we go on doing mistakes and instead of mending them continue to repeat them.It happens with everybody and here I am going to share a funny incident that happened with me.
It was my chemistry lab in my 2nd semesters. Our chemistry teacher was busy in staring girls after telling us what to do in experiment. Our lab assistant Mr. Rajkumar has provided us the chemicals which we need to test or do something(i don't remember) with test tubes. There were around 30 students in my batch of class. We were made to stand either side of the lab desk where all apparatus for experiment were kept.
Before writing any further one information shared, we had fine on breaking any instruments and apparatus  right from Rs50 to some upper limit.Whenever there was any sound of broken glass he used to run with the register to note down the name of the student along with fine amount.
I was standing in between a row of a side. I was trying to be over-smart and was just playing with the test-tubes. Actually i took a test tube and the initial step was to clean it using brush. I just inserted brush in my own unique style in test tube and was keeping a watch on other guys to check if somebody is watching me doing it and I can show him/her my style stunt of cleaning test-tube in unique way. I don't know the brush was tapered or my hands got SUNNY DEOL power or the test tube was of bad quality(which I am sure because I know how my college management was.), a stroke of brush just  pierced the test-tube and gosh it was broken. I cleverly put it back at the test tube stand (so that assistant couldn't notice) and took another , but again instead of taking it normally I just popped it up from my one hand to catch from another which again was one of my style stunt which failed again as in my attempt to catch from other hand it just slipped and broke. Gosh one more!! And failure of style too along with an insult feeling as everyone was laughing at me.But somehow i manged to not come in the eyes of assistant and collected the broken pieces very well in a paper torn from my friends copy.
So here came the third time where i was very cautious about using the test tube but this time I saw Rajkumar coming , I thought he saw me with other two and will fine me , in this thought suddenly the third test tube too slipped from my hand and made a sound... and I felt Oh Gosh... not again third time but it was already broken. And I was sure now I had have to pay for it. But suddenly somebody else's test-tube too got broken which made a big noise and the assistant ran toward him for the fine with register. With the little time I got, I collected the broken pieces again and thrown all of them in dustbin and fourth time I carefully took another test-tube without any style or flamboyance. While I was working on it , assistant came to me and checked. He saw me working with test-tubes which were all fine and hadn't asked anything and I was saved from fine. But I was feeling like it was not my day today as no style, no tricks are working and I just made fool of myself in front of others. Although lucky enough that I was not fined. Three test tubes broken in just a minute just by my over-style deceived me.A kind of faux pas to me. Afterward I never tried any kind of style tricks in chemistry lab at least.
Moral: If really need to be in over-style , be cautious or practice well before actually giving public display or you will be a fool out of yourself only, like me.

  1. Hehhehehee... I remember that day so well. I had such a hearty laugh :D :D

    Fokat ki Over-style.. as always :P :P

You used a very strong adjective for the poor teacher. I know he had big eyes and a stern expression on his face always but that does not necessarily mean he stared at girls. Or probably, he did!! Who cares!! ;) ;)
