While I entered in my engineering graduations , the very first year I was part of Computer Science student’s section comprising of around 60 students and I was the one with Roll No 50. Well this is a kind of a specific figure which get easily in to mind of everybody that this guy is Roll No 50. But this was common as it was evitable. But special thing come into picture when it was made much special by my own style. And before writing anything more i need to tell something , “what everything i do , which others consider as style or show off is actually natural to me. Couldn’t help.”
I was going outside the class and my Class Representative asked my roll no so that he can make proxy , i just turned and raised my five fingers and said Roll No PACHAASsss…, along with that boy , people over there also noticed it sharply. From then many of them started calling me Roll no 50 boy or “wo roll no 50 wala ladka” specially by those who don't knew my name but used to discuss about me and my style. But i continued my this style with other students, lab assistants and even with teachers. They must had thought what a “Nautanki” he is but sorry its my way of saying things and style. Even in one of my Professional Communication class I was made to speak on why mostly I am called as Roll No 50 boy. One of my classmate suggested me using the word half century instead PAchaaas as later seems a bit old fashioned or cheap but i sticked to that only as I found her idea much boring and non-stylish.
Also it was quite useful while searching my name in the list of students. In all my notebooks and assignments I used to proudly write Roll No “50”. Although this was not attached to me long and as soon as i entered in 2nd semesters , it was all detached from me and i missed it too as this no. had given me a kind of identity and a new style to show off …as people say!!
P.S. : My university roll no. was too stylish by being 0401010101

ReplyDeleteIt might seem ironic Sunil, but for several semesters my roll no was 25 (half of 50).
